FDLS is nothing like Amish society, but I was sort of on the theme there. Fascinating book. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Ironically, I was reading this in the Middle East which is supposed to be the big bad oppressor of women. The FDLS makes the UAE look like the Garden Of Equality Eden.
