In high contrast to Runway Runaway, this is one of the few books to make me cry out of pity for the author. This girl – this girl. I feel so sorry for her, mostly because she thinks she’s doing well. I can’t say that Jenny is anything like her. They are both delusional about their value to the men in their lives, but Jenny (before the book even starts) has figured out that she’s more than the man she’s with. Through this whole book the author never did. It’s truly heartbreaking. Don’t force yourself through this unless you like slowing down to look at accidents. At least it’s well written.
