Every once in a while it occurs to me that Robin Williams is gone. It’s so sad and I am so grateful he left us many wonderful movies and television shows. Here’s hoping this is one. (It’s available through Prime if you’ve got that.)
“Boyd and his family are forced to spend Christmas at his parents’ house with his eccentric father that he has been avoiding for years. When he realizes that he left his son’s gifts at home, he and his dad must go and get them.”
Sadly, it’s not one of the good Robin Williams movies. It had all the right pieces, but they didn’t gel. The kid who played Doug was fantastic. In fact, most of the cast was fantastic. The story just felt like it had been puzzled together from a couple of family Christmas movie trope kits and the glue didn’t set. Worth a shot though.
