I have a friend who runs a company that, as far as I can tell, does event lighting, video editing and whatever else he can manage to get into. We are both huge science fiction fans. Several years ago, he was talking about a show his company was making for Bulgarian television. It was shot mostly against green screen, but had a few sets and it was science fiction. Now, under the best of circumstances and with the biggest of budgets, science fiction sets and props can go horribly, horribly wrong. I love Stargate, but I swear most of their props were made of Sculpy. The chat with my friend left a permanent image of shockingly corny visuals, which reappeared here.
