Make me cry. Just make me cry. Baby’s First Christmas starts out like a typical Hallmark Christmas movie with feuding co-workers who end up as feuding relatives-by-marriage, but in the middle it switches to something a little deeper. Her brother and his sister, now married with one child and one on the way, are in disastrous financial straits after a job loss. Behind on their bills and set to lose their house at the beginning of the new year, they kinda need the one-on-the-way to be the local radio station’s Christmas baby so they can win the $25,000 and dig themselves out of their hole. This is the background for the main story about the feuding couple, but it’s where the heartstrings get yanked. So I watch it every year and cry just like I’m supposed to.
