I have read this book many times before, seen the movie and listened to the BBC radio broadcast, but it hold up. Every few pages is a laugh out loud. Great light reading for the holiday break.

One of my all-time favorites too–I have many happy memories of reading this book at the same time as my childhood bestfriend, laughing together and discussing the possibilities of hitchhiking across the universe! I highly recommend Douglas Adams’ “Last Chance to See”–essays about his travels around the world to see endangered animals.
I’ll have to look at that one. It was a real joy to watch the other students read it for the first time.
